Mark Casson & Shannon Hines- the core of Asheville’s The Cheeksters- have been writing, recording and performing their blend of soulful, British-inspired pop/rock since meeting by chance on a London train in 1989. After relocating to Nashville they hooked up with musician and producer Brent Little. Cason, Hines and Little are all heavily influenced by 1960’s popular music including the Beatles, David Bowie, Curtis Mayfield, T Rex, Donovan, Paul Weller, as well as a variety of soul music.
