More than 365,000 people will descend on the streets of Downtown Asheville on July 25-27 for Bele Chere, a three-day street party that has become one of the largest outdoor street festivals in the Southeast.
Bele Chere has something for everyone including great food, spectacular entertainment, quality arts and crafts and events appealing to the whole family. Festival staff and over 400 volunteers are committed to making sure everyone has an enjoyable time, and in order to do so, there are several things a savvy festivalgoer needs to know.

Organizers announced the move of the festival’s main stage.
LaZoom Tour Buses are offering a complimentary shuttle from the festival to Memorial Stadium with the purchase of a concert ticket. The shuttle service runs from 6 p.m.-Midnight from French Broad Food Co-op’s parking area on Biltmore Ave. After the concert you will be dropped back off on Biltmore Ave. You must have a ticket for the evening show in your hand when you get on the bus.
You can use the regular city buses to get to, and from Bele Chere! Asheville Transit provides bus service throughout the City of Asheville and other local areas with 24 bus routes running from 6 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 6 a.m.–12:45 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Routes radiate from the Transit Center, located downtown at 49 Coxe Avenue next to the U.S. Post Office. The center provides such amenities as clean restrooms and indoor and outdoor seating. There is also an on-duty information assistant who provides information about routes, or from whom you may purchase monthly and annual passes and ticket books.
